Melatonin for Seasonal Affective Disorder

The circadian beat of the body is an organic cycle, it is around 24 hours long, administering certain natural cycles. For instance, our body creates the hormone cortisol in the morning, when we have to get up, and it will discharge melatonin amid evening when we have to rest. These cycles are administered by the nonattendance or vicinity of light.

Depresion amid the winter months is called Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD. This kind of melancholy is brought on by an upset circadian mood which is activated by the nonappearance of light or low levels of light.
